When you go to tuck in your two year old after her 10 minutes of "alone-reading-time" before bed, and she stands up in her crib to give you a big hug and says "You make me happy, Mama," how can you do anything but melt? I have tears in my eyes just remembering.

Those moments are what make motherhood really worth it. Plus they keep you from killing the horrid beast who is screaming at the top of her lungs while rolling on the floor of the grocery store. I just pick them up shove in the cart and carry on. Somtimes being hard of hearing is a plus.

My daughter has recently started a bit of a clingy stage. Clingy for her is just frequent hugs. Although some of her separation anxiety I could do without, the rest of this clingy stage is mighty fine by me!

Treasure these times, the years go by so fast...before you know it they become teens...and are out the door, leaving you to be the one with separation anxiety! What a sweet child you have, my heart would have melted too!
